Thanks to everyone who came along to the Polkadots After School Session this Monday. The children had a great time in their introductory session. They listened carefully to Miss Taylor’s and Mrs Maylett’s instructions. They all had lot’s of fun taking it in turns to use the class ‘gathering drum’. They used the beater to tap the drum to the tune of our ‘Higgerty Piggerty Bumble Bee’ song.
This week we learned the name’s of two percussion instruments.
The ‘tulip block’
Li,Lee said, “The tulip block is made of wood. You have to hit it with the beater.”
Freddie said, “It’s made of metal and plastic” when talking about the cabassa.
Our Superstar Polkadotter of the week is Serena from R3. Well done!
